Samsung SGH-F480 Mobile Phone Comes with Touchwiz Touch Screen

The Samsung SGH-F480 is a sleek and compact touch screen mobile phone with a possibility to personalize the home screen. The product is also known as Touchwiz or Tocco. You hold the phone like an ordinary mobile and tap the screen with your thumb. If you don't like the new customizable widget menu system, you can use the traditional menu system as well. 5 megapixel camera and multimedia features complement this tri-band GSM phone that can connect to high-speed 3G mobile networks.

An excellent thing with the SGH-F480 Touchwiz is that it has been designed to be held like an ordinary phone; in one hand. you only need your thumb to manage the menu system. the home screen features a menu on the left side of the display. You can launch a program from the menu or move a program icon to another location on the home screen. The traditional menu system is also available for those who are used to navigating Samsung phone menus.

if you didn't record the videos on the E65 as 3GP files, they are likely to be incompatible with the Samsung, you could try a video format conversion program on a pc.

right every-one if you go get yourself a file called JAD maker then get JAVA install or TKfileexplorer 2.2 then start jad and place the needed .JAR file onto the jad interface , this will create a .JAD file the same as the previous .JAR but .JAD . create a folder on your desktop with the same name as your app and add both the .JAD/.JAR files into it. Next open TKfileexplorer 2.2 and connect your f480(you need your computer to have the relevant drivers for your device otherwise TK wont recognise it!!!) click the icon second from right (a phone/computer will be displayed here) this will bring up a screen for port selection etc , select the corresponding port for your phone(ready will be displayed in the bottom left of the screen if correct ) next click the connect button(same toolbar as above just two to the left and again a phone/computer icon but with rotating arrows) this will show the internal folders on your device in the bottom pane, navigate through the folders EXE-JAVA-GAMES then in the top pane navigate to your desktop where you subsequently placed the app/game files and drag and drop the needed file from the top to bottom pane (the bottom pane being already open on game folder) this will transfer your game to the phone .....disconnect your phone and press dial enter *#6984125*# scroll down to internals enter the master key*#9072642*# then storage settings and finally update java db this works every time for me if problems still persist you may want to consider a f/w change/upgrade hope this helps sorry for the lack of screenshots :-?

I managed to finally connect my f480 phone to my pc so i could delete a load of text messages (my other problem is that my touchscreen has also stopped working) but whenever i try to upload the sms' nothing really happens. i get a little download box but still no messages being uploaded to my pc. i have downloaded all the correct drivers and am now totally lost...any help? Samsung have been terrible. also if anyone knows a good place to go to to get the touchscreen fixed that would also be very helpful!

Hi Lia Mauga, remove the battery from your phone and insert it back in its place. Then switch it on. The phone will restart itself and many mysterious problems may disappear.
